A major solo exhibition of Adel Abidin will take place on the fourth floor of Kiasma , the Finnish Museum of Contemporary Arts, starting from February 12th. The opening will take place on the 11th of February.
Import/Export, a forthcoming group exhibition in Taidehalli will feature works by Adel Abidin. From January 16th until February 28th 2010, this exhibition will present works of Finnish artists who have made it internationally. Read it from Taidehalli website.

Later this year, Adel Abidin is going to attend to a residency program in the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Arts in Gateshead, United kingdom. The residency will include a production grant that will lead to the exhibition of a new project.

For the fifth consecutive year and as part of the European cultural season, Experience Pommery #5: L'art en Europe will present a selection of the best young European artists. This year the event is organized by the French art magazine Beaux Arts editors-in-chief Fabrice Bousteau, who asked the main contemporary art magazines published in Europe to select two of the best young artists from their countries. Finland’s Taide magazine selected Adel Abidin and Terike Haapoja . Both artists will present exclusive new projects specially commissioned for the event.
