Void
Short film
A short film that tells a story of a western man who is a religious fundamentalist. His life floats between fantasy and reality. The film questions how a Finnish man becomes a fundamentalist and how that man functions in western society. I believe fanaticism is created in different ways according to each culture. The film’s visual language explores the conflict people have dealing with void and emptiness. In the film, the conflict ends with the destruction of the void.
