All my life, I’ve loved to sing and always thought I sang well. But no one in my family ever encouraged me. As it turns out, I have a terrible voice. So, I’ve learned to spare everyone, sing in the shower instead. When I came to Finland and tried to learn the Finnish language, I found it challenging. Since the language seemed so rhythmic, I started to wonder whether singing would make it easier for me to pick it up. I sat down, gathered all my courage, and composed this song, “I never played the guitar before”. The song deals with the topic of being alienated.
